29 CFR 1910.120(q)(5): Employees who, in the course of their regular job duties, worked with and were trained in the hazards of specific hazardous substances and who were called upon to provide technical advice or assistance to the individual in charge did not receive training or demonstrate competency in the area of their specialization annually: a) 156 West Harrisburg Avenue, Elizabethtown, PA 17022: On or about February 28, 2024, an employee responded to the ammonia leak and conducted maintenance activities on the ammonia refrigeration system to contain the leak. The employer did not ensure that the employee responsible for performing maintenance and repairs to the ammonia refrigeration system received annual training on ammonia refrigeration. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
