29 CFR 1910.22(a)(2): The floor of each workroom is maintained in a clean and, to the extent feasible, in a dry condition. When wet processes are used, drainage must be maintained and, to the extent feasible, dry standing places, such as false floors, platforms, and mats must be provided: a) Castle Woodcraft-Production Floor: Employees performing woodworking operations were exposed to slip, trip and fall hazard(s) from wood dust accumulations when the employer failed to ensure that the production floor was maintained clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. Condition observed on or about 03/07/2024. b) Castle Woodcraft-Production Floor: Employees performing woodworking operations were exposed to fire hazard(s) from wood dust accumulations on and around the sanding and cutting stations when the employer failed to ensure that the dust collection bags were emptied daily as per the requirements of the standards. Condition observed on or about 03/07/2024. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
