29 CFR 1926.502(b)(5): Midrails, screens, mesh, intermediate vertical members, solid panels, and equivalent structural members were not capable of withstanding, without failure, a force of at least 150 pounds (666 N) applied in any downward or outward direction: 188 Lafayette Street, New Haven, CT: On or about June 2, 2023, the mid-rail adjacent to the scaffold staircase was not attached on one side and was therefore unable of withstanding an outward force of at least 150 pounds for workers performing tasks such as (but not limited to) concrete work on the second floor above grade.
