29 CFR 1910.29(a)(2):(2) Provide and install all fall protection systems and falling object protection this subpart requires, and comply with the other requirements in this subpart before any employee begins work that necessitates fall or falling object protection. a) On May 5, 2023, located less than 6 feet from a low-slope commercial roof edge, an employee was exposed to a fall hazard of 9 feet while repairing a roof leak and the employer failed to provide and install a fall protection system before the employee performed the roofing work.
