29 CFR 1910.178(l)(3)(ii): Training program content. Powered industrial truck operators shall receive initial training in the following topics, except in topics which the employer can demonstrate are not applicable to safe operation of the truck in the employer's workplace. Workplace-related topics: (D) Pedestrian traffic in areas where the vehicle will be operated; a) On or about March 21, 2023, the employer did not ensure that the PIV program included content in which pedestrian travel was prohibited in the consolidation department in that forklift operators, were moving boxes to the conveyor during forward travel in that the box stacked height measured approximately 90 inches in height. This was last observed on April 5, 2023.
