29 CFR 1910.147(f)(1): Testing or positioning of machines, equipment or components thereof. In situations in which lockout or tagout devices must be temporarily removed from the energy isolating device and the machine or equipment energized to test or position the machine, equipment or component thereof, the following sequence of actions shall be followed: On or about January 19, 2023, at a workplace located at 551 Krier Lane, Random Lake, Wisconsin on Line 2; The employer did not fully document or implement a procedure for instances in which lockout devices must be temporarily removed from energy isolating devices and the machine or equipment must be energized to test and/or position the machine, equipment or component.
