Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002B Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.305(b)(1): Conductors entering boxes, cabinets, or fittings were not protected from abrasions, nor were openings through which conductors enter were effectively closed: (a) Green Waste Area - On or about February 1, 2023, the employer permitted the use of construction string lighting as a substitute for fixed lighting within the CONEX intermodal shipping container. Where the flexible power cord entered a wall mounted outlet box, strain relief, fittings, or other protections against abrasion were not implemented, thereby exposing employees to shock hazards. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
