29 CFR 1926.451(e)(8): Direct access to or from another surface was not used when the scaffold was more than 14 inches (36 cm) horizontally and/or 24 inches (61 cm) vertically from the other surface: a) Northwest corner: On January 20, 2023, and times prior the creating employer Eagle Masonry & Stone, Inc., exposed the subcontractors employees to fall hazards up to and including 48-feet. Employees of the subcontractor used the top of the penthouse parapet wall which was five (5) feet above the scaffold platform and up to 21-inches away. Note) Certification and documentation of corrective actions are required for this item.
