29 CFR 1917.156(a)(2): Filler caps were not replaced and spillage of liquid fuel was not disposed of before the engine was started. a) Port of Wilmington, Wharf Area, Crane C-4 and C-5 in Wilmington, DE 19801: On or about and at times prior to November 4, 2022, employees conducted various material handling operations including maritime cargo loading and unloading where spilled liquid fuel was not removed from the area before starting the engines on the cranes and vehicles or other motorized equipment was used in support of the operations in proximity of the open fuel containers exposing employees to hazards such as but not limited to burns.
