29 CFR 1910.28(b)(11)(iii): Each ship stairs and alternating tread type stairs is equipped with handrails on both sides. With respect to an establishment located at 1400 Plover Road, Plover, WI 54467, the employer did not ensure that employees were protected from slips and falls from edges of ship-style stairs: a) on or about October 15, 2022, handrails were not adequately installed on a set of stairs leading to a maintenance and sanitation platform on the infeed side of Flume #2. b) on or about October 15, 2022, handrails were not adequately installed on a set of stairs leading to a maintenance and sanitation platform on the outfeed side of Flume #2.
