29 CFR 1910.1000(e): Feasible administrative or engineering controls were not determined and implemented to achieve compliance with the limits prescribed in 29 CFR 1910.1000(a) through (d): (a) On or about August 02, 2022 - Vac-Form Department, an employee was exposed to an airborne concentration of Methylene Bisphenyl Isocyanate (MDI) at 1.7 milligrams per cubic meter of air (mg/m3), approximately 8 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 0.2 mg/m3. The sampling was performed during one shift on September 22, 2022 for 15 minutes intervals. General methods of abatement include, but are not limited to: 1. Utilization of a adhesive product that does not contain isocyanate.
