29 CFR 1926.454(a):The employer did not have each employee who performed work while on a scaffold trained by a person qualified in the subject matter to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards. On or about 9 July, 2022, at MCH Medical Center, 2&3 Estate Contant, St. Thomas, VI., employees performing building painting operations from a JLG G5-18A Extended Reach Tele-handler at a height of approximately 25ft. The employer did not ensure the employees were trained by a person qualified in the subject matter to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to controls or minimize those hazards.
