29 CFR 1910.218(a)(3)(v): Tongs shall be of sufficient length to clear the body of the worker in case of kickback, and shall not have sharp handle ends. a) On or about April 12, 2022 the employer did not ensure the employees utilized or had available tongs of sufficient length for the placement of material into the die area. Employees hand placed material into the die area without the use of tongs or other devices, thus placing body parts into the die area.
