29 CFR 1926.1053(a)(3)(i): Rungs, cleats, and steps of fixed ladders were spaced more than 14 inches (36 cm) apart, as measured along the ladder's side rails: (a) Parade Street Mechanicsburg, PA - Employee(s) were using a homemade 2x4 ladder nailed to the interior stud wall in the hallway to ascend and descend from the second floor and were greater than 14 inches apart at a residential home, on or about February 23, 2022. (b) Parade Street Mechanicsburg, PA - Employee(s) were using a homemade 2x4 ladder nailed to the interior stud wall in the living room to ascend and descend from the trusses and the rungs were spaced greater than 14 inches apart at a residential home, on or about February 23, 2022. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
