29 CFR 1910.138(b): The employer did not base selection of appropriate hand protection on an evaluation of the performance characteristics of the hand protection relative to the tasks to be performed, conditions present, duration of use, and the hazards and potential hazards identified: a) Lowbucs Propane, Inc., Fill station areas, on or about January 31st, 2022 and times prior thereto: Appropriate hand protection was not selected for use in order to protect employees against potential frost bite hazards while working with and around liquified petroleum gas during propane cylinder filling operations. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
