29 CFR 1910.335(a)(1)(v):Employees exposed to the danger of injury to the eyes or face from electric arcs or flashes or from flying objects resulting from electrical explosion did not wear protective equipment for the eyes or face: a. In the apartment building 3269 electrical service room, located at University Place Apartments, 3269 University Blvd. N., Jacksonville, FL: On or about December 14, 2021 and at times prior, the employer exposed the qualified lead electrician and electrician helper to electrical and arc-flash hazards, in that hazard risk category 1 electrical arc-flash protective equipment faceshields were not used when the lead electrician changed out a 100 amp breaker within the energized 240VAC 600 Amp panel.
