29 CFR 1926.1408(b)(1): The employer did not conduct a planning meeting with the operator and the other workers who will be in the area of the equipment or load to review the location of the power line(s), and the steps that will be implemented to prevent encroachment/electrocution: (a) Near Wissota Falls hydro plant; On or before December 8, 2021, the location of power lines and the steps to prevent encroachment/electrocution were not reviewed with workers before a National Crane brand, swing seat boom truck crane, model NBT-36, was used to unload barges, spud holders, and spuds for winter storage near an overhead 69kV power transmission line. An employee was injured when the load line contacted an overhead transmission line on December 8, 2021 and passed away as a result of those injuries.
