29 CFR 1910.335(a)(1)(i): Employees working in areas where there were potential electrical hazards were not provided with electrical protective equipment that was appropriate for the specific parts of the body that needed to be protected and for the work being performed: Jobsite located at the CT Transit terminal, 100 Leibert Road, Hartford, Connecticut: On, or about, September 29, 2021, an employee who was required to open access doors on Trane HVAC units was exposed to live electrical parts in order to de-energize the units and test for absence of voltage. The employee was not provided with appropriate personal protective equipment such as, but not limited to, fire resistive clothing, a fire resistive face shield, a fire resistive balaclava, hearing protection and voltage rated gloves with protective leather gloves.
