29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasion; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes: The employer does not ensure employees wore required had protection while working in the powder coating booth. This violation was observed on or about March 24, 2021 as employees were observed conducting powder coating activities without the required hand protection. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps taken to ensure employees are provided with and use the required hand protection.
