29 CFR 1910.213(m)(1):Cutting heads of wood shaper(s) were not enclosed with a cage or adjustable guard so designed so as to keep the operator's hand away from the cutting edge: (a)Woodland Cabinetry, Inc. at 2415 East Highway 10, Sisseton, SD 57262: On or about and at times prior to January 7, 2021, the employer did not ensure that the arch router in the door area was guarded to ensure to keep the operator's hands away form the cutting edge. Employees were utilizing the arch router with no guard in place covering the cutting head. This condition exposed employees to laceration hazards associated with the unguarded cutting head. (b)Woodland Cabinetry, Inc. at 2415 East Highway 10, Sisseton, SD 57262: On or about and at times prior to January 7, 2021, the employer did not ensure that the table router in the parts department area was guarded to ensure to keep the operator's hands away form the cutting edge. Employees were utilizing the table router with no guard in place covering the cutting head. This condition exposed employees to laceration hazards associated with the unguarded cutting head. (c)Woodland Cabinetry, Inc. at 2415 East Highway 10, Sisseton, SD 57262: On or about and at times prior to January 7, 2021, the employer did not ensure that the table router in the specialty door box area was guarded to protect the operator's hands from the cutting edge.
