29 CFR 1910.134(f)(1): The employer did not ensure that employee(s) required to use a tight-fitting facepiece respirator passed the appropriate qualitative fit test (QLFT) or quantitative fit test (QNFT): Employees were exposed to respiratory hazards. Employees required to wear tight fitting, air filtering cartridge respirators while vacuuming lime pebble and granular quicklime from a lime pit were exposed to inhalation hazards. The employer did not ensure that employees required to use a tight fitting facepiece respirator passed the appropriate qualitative fit test or quantitative fit test.
