Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002B Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles: A.) MSL Oil and Gas Corporation - On or about 3/12/20, and at times prior thereto, grinding operations were being performed on a bracket for a 110 gallon glycol tank. Employees were not wearing face shields to prevent pieces of fragments from impacting the employees face. These fragments could include but are not limited to sparks, metal fragments, and grinding wheel fragments. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement
