29 CFR 1910.134(d)(1)(i): Selection of appropriate respirators was not based on the respiratory hazard(s) to which the worker was exposed and user factors that affect respirator performance and reliability: On or about 9/26/19, employees had been provided half-face air-purifying respirators with acid-gas P-100 combination cartridges to wear while using the following paint strippers that require organic vapor cartridges: Strypeeze and 2 Minute Remover Advanced Paint & Varnish Remover/Gel. These contained solvents including toluene, methanol, petroleum distillates and acetone.
