29 CFR 1910.29(b)(2): (2) Midrails, screens, mesh, intermediate vertical members, solid panels, or equivalent intermediate members are installed between the walking-working surface and the top edge of the guardrail system as follows when there is not a wall or parapet that is at least 21 inches (53 cm) high: a) Plant - On or about 08/06/19 and at times prior thereto, the elevated walkway (catwalk) on top of the Hydro-Coolers #1 and #2 had missing mid-rails in sections of the border. Workers were exposed to 8.0 ft. falls onto the concrete floor. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
