29 CFR 1910.23(b)(10): The employer did not ensure that any ladder with structural or other defects was immediately tagged "Dangerous: Do Not Use" or with similar language in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.145 and removed from service until repaired in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.22(d), or replaced: The employer does not protect employees from fall hazards. At 10047 Compton Street, Belgrade, Missouri, specifically inside of the Storage Bin and Feed Mill, damaged and defective, fixed ladders were not removed from service. The first fixed, ladder consisted of a mono pole with damaged rungs used to gain access to or egress from the Storage Bin. The second, fixed ladder consisted of metal and was attached to an outdoor silo. The upper portion of this ladder was crushed. The fall distance varied from 22 to 25 feet. This violation was noted on 05/22/19.
