29 CFR 1910.147(d): The established procedure for the application of energy control (the lockout or tagout procedures) did not cover the actions listed in and was not done in sequence as required by 29 CFR 1910.147(d)(1)-(6): On or about 4/23/19, the employer failed to ensure that employees tasked with unjamming the nail guns of the Viking Champion model #605, serial #902, utilized lockout/tagout procedures in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.147(d)(1)-(6). Employees were utilizing the pump stop and control off buttons. Types of energy include electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic. Southwood Lumber and Pallet, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.147(d)(2) and 1910.147(d)(4)(i),which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1327147, citation number 1 item number(s) 1a and 1b, and was affirmed as a final order on 9/26/2018 with respect to a workplace located at 8849 Lincoln Way East Orrville, Ohio 44667.
