29 CFR 1926.251(a)(2)(i): The employer failed to ensure rigging equipment had permanently affixed and legible identification markings as prescribed by the manufacturer that indicate the recommended safe working load. a) 801 Boxwood Road, GM Assembly Plant, Wilmington, DE: On or about January 11, 2019, the employer failed to ensure alloy steel chains were permanently affixed with legible identification markings to indicate the safe working load. Employees were exposed to being struck by wire rope being used to pull on the structural members of a building being demolished, where the wire rope contained broken strands and no permanently affixed markings. b) 801 Boxwood Road, GM Assembly Plant, Wilmington, DE: On or about January 11, 2019, the employer failed to ensure wire ropes were permanently affixed with legible identification markings to indicate the safe working load.
