29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(iii): Special hand tools for placing and removing material(s) for easy handling of material without the operator placing a hand in the danger zone were used in lieu of other guarding required by this section, but not only used to supplement protection required: On or about October 11, 2018, and in times prior thereto, a steel brush was provided and used to clean plastic residue from the jaws of a reactor while it was in operation exposing operators to an amputation hazard, located in the Freedom reactor area.
