Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002B Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.176(b): Material stored in tiers was not stacked, blocked, interlocked or limited in height so that it was stable and secure against sliding and collapse: Southern Tire Mart, Covington, GA (Throughout the facility) - On or about 5/29/2018, and times prior to, tires were stacked without organization or being secured which created a potential hazard of tires sliding and falling on employees due to constant forklift traffic on employees. Forklift drivers were hitting the tires while driving. The tires were blocking exits and aiselways which created a hazard for other forklifts and pedestrians walking in the area. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
