29 CFR 1910.184(f)(5)(iii): Wire rope sling(s) that had kinking, crushing, bird caging or other damage resulting in distortion of the wire rope structure were not immediately removed from service: Both wire rope slings, used to lift concrete vaults onto a truck, had deformation (crushing) at the bends of the rope where attachment was made for the lift.
