29 CFR 1910.1025(d)(2): An initial determination was not made to determine if any employee may be exposed to lead at or above the action level: 900 Jeffco Executive Drive, Imperial: Employer is exposing employees to hazardous levels of airborne lead where the employees are permitted to work in the range without knowing the air borne lead levels. On 11/07//2017 an employee who was the "trainer" was exposed to airborne lead at twice the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms of airborne lead per cubic meter of air as determined by personal air sampling conducted by OSHA. The exposure level obtained was 110 micrograms of air borne lead per cubic meter of air calculated on 8-hour time weighted average basis. Sampling was conducted for 306 minutes. The employer did not conduct the required initial determination of airborne lead levels.
