Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002B Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.176(c): Storage areas were not kept free from accumulation of materials that constituted hazards from tripping, fire, explosion or pest harborage: (a) On or about March 8, 2018, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure that the stock room was free of tripping and fire hazards where boxes and U-boats (merchandise carts) were strewn in an unorganized manner throughout the storage area. Dollar Tree Inc. was previously cited for a repeat violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.176(c), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1017821, citation number 2, item number 3 issued on July 6, 2015, and was affirmed as a final order on December 9, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 630 Wellwood Avenue, Lindenhurst, NY 11757. Dollar Tree Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910. 176(c), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313981607, citation number 1, item number 1 issued on September 2, 2010, and was affirmed as a final order on September 16, 2010, with respect to a workplace located at 1701 US Highway 22, Ste 12, Watchung, NJ 07069.
