29 CFR 1910.178(o)(2): Load(s) were being handled which exceeded the rated capacity of the industrial truck. On or about July 22, 2017, an employee was exposed to struck-by and caught-in hazards while glass sheets on a metal A-Frame rack weighing 3870 lbs. was moved by a Caterpillar forklift model C5000 S/N AT9001511 with a rated capacity of 3500 lbs. The employer did not ensure loads handled did not exceed the rated capacity. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
