29 CFR 1910.333(c)(8): Conductive articles of jewelry and clothing (such a watch bands, bracelets, rings, key chains, necklaces, metalized aprons, cloth with conductive thread, or metal headgear) should not be worn where employees might contact exposed energized parts: a) On or about March 7, 2017, LGSTX maintenance employees performed work on the sort conveyor, which is powered by 480 volts. It was found that employees were wearing metal, conductive glasses to correct vision, while working on the sort conveyor. The glasses were not covered by non-conductive material, which exposed employees to an electrical hazard.
