29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i): The employer shall conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure at least annually to ensure that the procedure and the requirements of this standard are being followed. a. Located at the workplace: the employer did not ensure that a periodic inspection of the Slitter 1 energy control procedure was performed in order to correct the deviations and inadequacies of the procedure, such as, but not limited to, employees utilizing the established written procedure, means and methods to dissipate stored hydraulic energy, and means and methods to control the pneumatic and gravity energy sources.
