29 CFR 1910.28(b)(11)(i): The employer did not ensure that employees exposed to an unprotected side or edge of a stairway landing, which is 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level, was protected by a guardrail or stair rail system. Production Office Stairway Landing- On or about January 31, 2017 employees were exposed to fall hazards due to an inadequate toprail height on a stairway landing. The toprail height measured 29 inches from the walking/working surface. The midrail was not installed at a height midway between the top edge of the guardrail system and the stairway landing. No documentation required for this item.
