29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(B): Each affected employee was not instructed in the purpose and use of the energy control procedure. a) Re-pack Lines; On or about September 13, 2016, employees working at machines or equipment (i.e., the grading/sorting tables and the packing machines) that are subject to Lock Out/Tag Out procedure, were not instructed in the purpose and use of the energy control procedures. This exposed employees performing servicing and maintenance to potential amputation hazards. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
