29 CFR 1915.112(c)(1)(i): Employer did not ensure chain and chain slings have permanently affixed and legible identification markings as prescribed by the manufacturer indicating the recommended safe working load for the type(s) of hitch(es) used: Employees working on the Noble Jim Thompson vessel, set for demolition, at the Port of Brownsville used a chain without permanently affixed and legible identification markings to determine safe working load, to hoist 1 1/4" thick wire rope to the top of a derrick.
