29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: a) Worksite, Grinding Department: Employees were using the Jet 6 Bench Grinder, Model #JBG-6A, Serial #12030601 to grind metal pieces. The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery and the adjustable tongue at the top was approximately one inch; on or about 4/22/15. Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.
