29 CFR 1910.132(f)(1): The employer shall provide training to each employee who is required by this section to use PPE. Each such employee shall be trained to know at least the following: 29 CFR 1910.132(f)(1)(ii): What PPE is necessary; a. Kingspan Benchmark, Columbus Ohio, Marion Road workplace: On or about April 30, 2015, for employees with exposure to methylene bisphenyl isocyanate (MDI) during manufacturing operations; adequate training was not provided to require personal protective equipment (PPE) for prevention of all skin contact, including contact with the upper extremities (arms) by protective clothing or protective equipment, such as chemical resistant sleeves. Employees in the FIP and Glue Coating operations have exposure and potential for skin contact during required duties.
