29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each powered industrial truck operator is competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in this paragraph (l): Facility: The employer did not provide formal instruction training to powered industrial vehicle operators that consisted of lectures, discussions, video tapes, written materials, tests, and observation to ensure operators understood the safe operation of the vehicle to prevent struck by hazards. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
