29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation: a) Paper Mill, #1 Paper Machine - on or about October 16, 2013, and at times prior to, an employee was required to perform minor adjustments in an area between the rider roll support and the hydraulic core chuck which was not guarded, exposing employees to a struck-by and caught-in hazards. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED
