29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(2)(i): Engineering and/or work practice controls were not used to eliminate or minimize employees exposure: a.)WRC Senior Services DBA Highland Oaks - Advanced Resident Aides were at an increased risk of exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials during the administration of injections requiring the use of needles that were not equipped with safer engineered device technology. b.)WRC Senior Services DBA Highland Oaks - Advanced Resident Aides were at an increased risk of exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials when required to obtain blood glucose levels with needles that were not equipped with safer engineered device technology. The employer had not demonstrated and documented that there were no feasible alternatives available or that use of such non-safety engineered device was required by a specific medical procedure.
