29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): "Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a. On or about June 30, 2011, at the above addressed jobsite, employees conducting roofing operations on a steep roof (6:12 pitch), twenty three (23) feet above the ground, were not protected from falling, thereby exposing the employees to the hazards associated with falls.
