Section 5(a)1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the caught-by hazards due to the lack of frequent and regular inspections of the Hydraulic Multipress, P8185. a/ At the Hydraulic Press Area, frequent and regular inspections of the Hydraulic Multipress, P8185, were not performed to ensure that all its parts, auxiliary equipment, and safeguarding were in safe operating condition and adjustment. One method of abatement to correct this apparent hazard is to perform frequent and regular inspections of the Hydraulic Multiprress, P-8185, as required by ANSI B11.2, paragraph 7.3.
