Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002A Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.600(a)(3)(ii): Equipment parked on an incline did not have the wheels chocked and the parking brake set: (a) On or about December 3, 2024, and at times prior, at 925 19th AVE NW, Birmingham, AL 35215, Gulf Coast Underground, LLC, employees worked between a refrigeration truck (Equipment 1710) and a steam boiler/air truck parked on an incline/slope without the use of chock blocks exposing employees to struck-by and crush-by hazards. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
