29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition: a) Saw rooms- On or about December 4, 2024, employees working in and around the saw rooms were exposed to fire and fire hazards from improper housekeeping practices that allowed a buildup of combustible dust to accumulate on horizontal surfaces. b) Baler House- On or about December 4, 2024, employees working in the baler house area were exposed to flash fire and fire hazards from improper housekeeping practices that allowed a buildup of combustible dust to accumulate on horizontal surfaces.
