29 CFR 1910.1053(c): The employer did not ensure that no employee was exposed to an airborne concentration of respirable crystalline silica in excess of 50 ug/m3, calculated as an 8-hour TWA: On or about August 20, 2024, an employee performing maintenance on Dust Collector A039971 was exposed to an 8-hour time weighed average (TWA) of 220 micrograms/cubic meter (ug/m3) of respirable crystalline silica (RCS), approximately 4.5 times the Permissible Exposure Level (PEL) of 50 ug/m3. The exposure level was derived from samples collected over a 470-minute sampling period, with zero exposure assume for the period of 10 minutes.
