Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1025(c)(1): The employer shall assure that no employee is exposed to lead at concentrations greater than fifty micrograms per cubic meter of air (50 ug/m(3)) averaged over an 8-hour period. On or about July 17, 2024, an employee working in the CRT portion of the CRT/FRIT line was exposed to an 8-hour time weighted average (TWA) of 79.6 ?g/m3 for lead, approximately 1.6 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 50 ?g/m3. The exposure level was calculated for the 360-minute sampling period, with a zero exposure increment for the unsampled period of 120 minutes. Abatement documentation is required in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.9(d).
