29 CFR 1926.502(h)(1)(iii): The safety monitor shall be on the same walking/working surface and within visual sighting distance of the employee being monitored; The employer did not ensure the safety monitor was on the same walking/working surface within visual sight of the employee being monitored. (a) Roof Area 1; On or about May 23, 2024, employees performing commercial roofing tasks were exposed to an unprotected edge at a height greater than 6 feet above the lower level roof structure, and adequate fall protection was not provided.
